The astonishing Gargano
Gargano is a marvellous area where nature shows itself in all its expressions always dominating the surrounding landscape. It is not by chance that since the 1990s this promontory, surrounded on three sides by water, has become a protected area thanks to the establishment of the National Park of Gargano. Lagoons, islands, forests, enchanting coasts, everything is enclosed in the “spur” of Italy, as it was called in the early 1900s first tourist descriptions.
We are in Carpino
We are located in the Carpino area, between the Foresta Umbra and the Lake of Varano. Carpino is a town of about 4,000 inhabitants with the olive growing as its “core business”, but the area is also known for the renowned “Carpino’s Fava Beam” plantation, Slow Food presidium.
